Support Art

Not only do we encourage artists to apply to our Art Walk which platforms queer artists with no fee, we also make sure to hire independent local photographers, credit them fully, and make sure every artist who contributes knows that Project LUNA will back real, human-made art, no matter what.

Safety

Our volunteers are not only locals but also get training on escalation, bystander intervention, safety protocols, and have instant access to a chat consisting of every volunteer so Aberystwyth Pride is safe for all!

Keeping it Local

All our team, artists and volunteers are close to home, familiar faces, work opportunities and more. Not only that but we at Project LUNA make sure our events are held all through town, meaning venues, staff and even locations not hosting events benefit from the day.

But don't just take it from us: see what our guests say!

Loved that we were asked whether we were happy for photos to be taken of our granddaughter, with a clearly visible sticker. Brilliant!

This was my first market also and the experience was really good honestly I couldn't have asked for a better first market experience!!!

There were always volunteers in hi-vis or other responsible and aware adults absolutely everywhere. The spirit of solidarity was strong.

First and foremost, those drag queens gotta be given more gigs! What a show! Had the crowd cheering and hollering for hours! During the AQA I learned of the nursing students doing relevant research and the eventual results would make for another cool lecture. More of queer art is also the market, so many people came to see and shop! I will also be making several zines now, an underrated medium!

My favourite event was the pride parade because I thought it was nice to walk around Aberystwyth surrounded by people in my community as an LGBTQ+ person

I think more queer markets would be lovely if that would be possible, also I did not personally attend the coffee and craft due to the market since I was too busy with it but it sounds lovely and I would love to attend another!!
